PhD (Medical Sociology) Rongo University.  Thesis Title: Responsiveness of Health Care System on Elderly Optimal Aging in Rural Kenya: The Case of Rachuonyo North Sub-County of Homa Bay County.

Higher Diploma in Home Based Care, Mildmay International; Diploma in Nursing Midwifery, Mater Misericordiae Hospital- Kenya; and Diploma in Nursing MTC Nairobi-Kenya.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

He worked in clinical setting in government hospitals prior to joining the academia in mid-level medical training college as a trainer and head of training unit where he steered the development of nursing curriculum and the subsequent transition of the program from certificate to diploma.  Sibuor worked as a lecturer in universities and headed the department of Nursing in one of them. For two terms of three years each, Dr. Sibuor headed the investigation Committee of the Nursing Council of Kenya and also served as a member of the board of examiners for the same Council for a period not less than three years.  He has continued to lecture, supervise post graduate students and carryout administrative duties in the department.  Dr. Sibuor graduated with summa cum laude honors at his BScN degree.  He is affiliated with the Nursing Council of Kenya and his research interest is in the area of Gerontology. At the moment he has no ongoing research.
